Quantron AG is now offering its first fuel cell truck. Starting in mid 2022, the Augsburg-based electric truck conversion company plans to start series production of the hydrogen-powered 44-ton truck called Energon.

The basis for the new Quantron fuel cell truck Energon is the Iveco Strator hood-type truck imported from Australia. Quantron estimates the range per refuelling at around 700 km. The fuel cell has an output of 130 kW and together with a 110 kWh battery in lithium iron phosphate technology supplies the 340 kW electric motor.

According to Quantron, the Energon is only the first vehicle in a fuel cell product range that will grow in the future. The manufacturer is accepting advance orders with immediate effect at www.quantron.net.
